AAW Lidded Box contest entry

Black Walnut box with candy-drop peak on lid. The bottom's tenon is spalted maple glued on before hollowing, so the walnut's grain is aligned fairly exactly how it was before parting the lid. The finial was turned as a knob shape, then carved and sanded. 3 1/2" high, 2 3/4" diameter, with a 3/16" wall thickness. Sanded to 1500 grit & finished with Minwax wipe-on poly.
