AAW Lidded Box contest entry

Walnut box with an African Blackwood finial. Aproximately 3"H x 1 1/8"D. The walnut in this piece has beautiful chatoyance that can't be reflected in a photo. This box was inspired by a PrismaColor pencil sharpener.
very, very nice shape and grain orientation -- wondering how the image would change if the camera angle was a big higher/?? beautiful piece!

I like this box. I think you did agreat job. Of all the entries I would pick this one if it was me judging. It's just a good clean shape. I'll agree with e I would like to see it photographed from a slighly higher angle.
