Afzelia Wide Rim Bowl

6.5"x2". Afzelia bowl with wide under cut rim. Burned rim design made with 1" copper plumbing fitting heated with blow torch and used like a branding iron. Finish is Mahoneys Walnut Oil, buffed, and waxed. Burnt inner and outer rims were friction burned using a thin piece of ebony and high speeed. All comments welcome.

Nice innovation on the burned rim design Gary. The spacing between the rings turned out very nice - they look perfect. Was this just an excuse to play with the blow torch???? I like this piece.
