Apple Bottom Bud Vase

Bud vase made from 2" square Maple.
Maxxie-Is the bottom hollowed out or does the glass liner go to the bottom? I am thinking about stability. I have a dozen of those liners and you have given me some options I have not thought of.

Wayne,

It isn't hollowed. I drill as deep as the length of the insert. I haven't had stability problems, but do consider it in design and because I only have a starting diameter of 2". They are very fun to do and good spindle practice. Regards, Matt
