Apple fruit wood with redhart handles

A Christmas present for my daughter-in-law. The wood came from a tree she cut down and gave me the wood. The two saw marks are reminders of her trying to cut with to small of a saw.

A beauty of a gift Bill! Love the nice handles and the finish in particular. Looks very comfortable to use.

Beautiful! What finish did you use?

Mark and John the finish is the standard salad bowl finish you buy at the Woodcraft stores. Tom the handles are fixed, in talking with my wife and some other ladies they all said make them solid so you don't have to drill handles. They'll work just fine.
Christmas day daughter-in-law said she would never use it to pretty.
