Black Walnut Platter

This is made from a large plank of sapwood, which I ebonized using vinegar and steel wool. I never could have afforded the heartwood. All of it was turned into gunstocks, and the sawmill operator earned a years pay out of the one log.
Bill these platters look real nice. You might consider posting larger sized pictures. While the limit is 80kb, you can still post larger pics inside that limit.
