Black Walnut

I have been experimenting with putting a bit of a flair on the top rim of one of my favourite shapes -- the small end of an egg. Gives it an ogee shape I like. Before, I was making the base of my ogee shapes too fat, without realizing it. This one is 19 inches in diameter and 6 inches deep. It was bought through my site on the internet (first sale there!) by the head of an artist's coop in the far north (Baffin Island). She said it was mainly for decoration, and I believe her. Getting that much fresh salad in Baffin Island would cost almost as much as the bowl as every leaf has to be flown in!
