Busy Bowl

A simple Mulberry bowl. I have friends spend a bit of time most days at their local wood yard hunting for pearls. Occasionally one of those treasures makes it up my way. This was a small piece of Mulberry branch 5" in diameter that had a perfect 90º bend that had been partially grown over. Mulberry is one of my favorite woods as it often has burl, figure, bark inclusions, worm tunnels, sapwood and heartwood all in a small confined area. A round bottom, straight sides and natural edge show off all that this piece had to offer. 150mm x 100mm (6" x 4")
