Ancient Pottery of My Mind

With the spirit of American Indian fine-line pottery, this piece reemerged from its resting place in my mind.
Wonderful! I like it! If I were a collector I'd want it.

It's a refreshing change from the "cut-the-wood-away-to-reveal-another-layer".

Nice piece -e-. And nice effect. Is this a new piece or a reworked previous piece?

these pieces seem to find a new home rather quickly ... going to try to hang on to this one.

This is a really nice piece and a great concept. I don't know if it's bad manners to ask this, but is the entire piece wood, or is it mixed media? I'm really fascinated by embellishment, or "surface treatments" (though I hate both of those terms) and think this is a beautiful expression.
