Tea for Two

Tea for two!

After being inspired by the teapot exhibition in Hartford, the misses and I decided to create one of our own. (and being an Englishman have been wanting to make one for ages) When the teapot was completed, we just couldn't stop there! The pot is a copy of the Brown Betty. The egg cups, cups, saucers and teapot were turned from Magnolia. The eggs from cherry and the platter from Ambrosia Maple. Then the misses did her thing with the Razortip. She's taken the design from our Crown Staffordshire china, Blue Calico, and our tea-set is to scale. The platter is 15.75" wide and the pot is 11.5 w x 6.2.5 h Everything is finished with multiple coats of acrylic spray and buffed.
heirloom quality set for sure. Excellent turning.

Absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful work you guys. I'd love to see these in person - I feel the picture does not do them justice. I need to come take some lessons.
