Coleus in the shade

Coleus in the shade

Walnut bowl 10" x 6"
Finished with airbrushed acrylics, oil and lacquer
Absolutely stunning. The balance between the Walnut rim and colored carving(s) is excellent.

An exceptionally beautiful piece. Great detail on the carving, perfectly accented with the airbrushing.

Derek,
I get that question a lot so one of these times I am going to have to try and count the number of hours I put into these pieces. I estimated I have 60 - 70 hours in this one but I really dont know because my time in the shop is pretty spread out. I am working on a piece now that is huge (about 18" x 10") and fully carved. I dont even want to think about the total time I will have into that one when its done. Its all good though, hours in the shop go by like minutes at work :)
