V Pod 3

This is Silver Maple....5 x 8.25 inches

This ....."thing", was swimming around in my head since the last one, so finally it is here and can leave me alone.
There is no finish on it yet and I thought I`d post it as is for now as I kind of like it as is. Will apply a finish though...silver Maple is prone to turning gray and it is showing signs of that already.

This is my 3rd one......V Pod 3

Vincent,

Your web site, turnings, photo work and originality are a real credit to wood turning. I look forward to each piece you present.
I real appreciate the size and style you came up with on this one.
Hope to meet you some day.

Frank

I like this one even more than the last pod..deeper flutes/higher ridges..& the neck is wonderful. Keep 'em comin'

Hi Gary, thanks....around 14 hours I think, (will improve that with better sanding tools, I hope!).....

Vincent-

Am working on a piece that required a lot of hand sanding, by the time that I had finished sanding, my fingers were so sore. That I could hardly grab anything for a couple of days and the finger prints were just about wiped out. It's now in the finishing process, am shooting to have it done by the time SWAT gets here.

Gary

Yup, that`s how it can be alright. I tape my fingertips, masking tape works fine...that helps a lot. If only I could hire a sander......? :)
Looking forward to seeing your next piece!
