Juniper Steps

Juniper Steps

Juniper Steps is a roughed turn piece of mountain juniper I cut from my home town.
I had this idea for a carved step rim for some time just never felt confident enough to attempt.
Any how this is my fist attempt and I love the way it turned out and have two more in progress.
I added turquoise in some cracks and bark inclusions that I further caved too accept little bigger stones rather than dust.
The finish is watco Danish oil, with three stage Beal buff.
7.5" wide 5.75" tall.
