Simple Ambrosia Maple Bowl

The last turning of 2016.
Ash is a guess. I thought it could be maple. I had the rough on the shelf for a year. My other maple blanks are much lighter and I don't remember where it came from.
 
I just looked it up. Looks like you are correct. It even has the beetle holes. I don't know where it came from. I live in Upstate NY. The description says common in Appalachia, I may have scavenged it from firewood. Thanks for your feedback.
