Sky Tower

Sky Tower

I completed this piece about a month ago. I was looking for a way to incorporated glass into a piece and wanted to capture the brilliant blue sky of New Mexico. At first I thought the piece needed something more but after living with it for a month now I have come to like it. The piece is 6.25 wide by 14.5 tall. Curly maple with iridized blue glass.
this is awesome i like the purple color that peaks out from the glass at the top ,nice idea maybe we can mash this idea and the wheel idea together.

This piece really speaks to me. Beautiful! I have been admiring your work but this tower is my favorite! Thanks for sharing.
