Spider Tea-2877

"Spider Tea" I made this teapot 2 yrs ago and it has been on tour around the UK. l have just got it back, l did not have a decent photo to post before. Made from Pear.
I remember seeing that. At least I think I do. It's wonderful with one exception. Black widow's aren't orb weavers. I designed a mirror years ago but have yet to build it. I had planned to inlay the web. Then after researching the black widows found out that they aren't orb weavers so it's sort of been on the back burner ever since. Well that and the mirror was supposed to have a knife inside because the black widow female kills the male after they mate. So now you probably know more than you ever wanted to know about black widow spiders. Also they are hard to photograph because they hand from the web upside down and you can't see the hourglass. Anyway I have always love this T pot as I do all of yours. Very well done.
