Drailles

Drailles

Drailles.
This piece was inspired by the ripples on the side of the hills, seen during my trip to NZ, made by sheep and cattle forming tracks. The tracks also help the livestock from developing longer legs on one side of their body :-)
Hollow form, made from Pear, approx. 6” dia, bleached, carved and topped with a Honduras Rosewood cap.
Very nicely done Mike! I like the contrast of the rosewood cap with the pear. Did you carve the enhanced grain lines or use sandblasting?
