ULU Cutting board

ULU Cutting board

this is a cutting board that I have made for my brother for Christmas. It is designed to use with an ULU(That is the curved knive in the picture) It is about 9.5" square and 1.25" thick. Chucked on the lathe with a recess and the bowl turned until just larger than the knife. The woods are oak, Padauk, and maple. finished with Mahoney's walnut oil
Did you make the ULU? Is this a kit you can buy?

I used to be a meat cutter and I love specialized cutting equipment. My fav knife is my 14" "machete".

Ditto on the request about the knife -- I've found the blade but cannot locate the 7/32 rivets ( or the instructions for pounding a brass rod into a rivet).

I purchased the knife from a place in Alaska. The are on the internet. I think the name of the place was "The ULU factory"
