Natural Edge Hollowform / closed bowl shape. Tulip Poplar. 6.5" x 4"

No, I didn't start out with this shape in mind. I cut out the sides because the wood was so bland. Left a round foot as the base. Didn't look right so I kept cutting it down until the shape just ... "happened". Finally gave in to everybody saying it looked like thong underwear and did the piercing to make them lacy.

Totally agree with the other comments. This is indeed an original piece and the execution is very nice.
 
Ok, so I'm three years late to the party...
But I really like this piece. Like Bob, I saw shark jaws.
A change in orientation would emphasis the thong theme.
Its rare (and nice) when a piece changes character by its position.
Nice work.
