Labyrinth

Sculpted Honey Locust Vessel. 29" across by 23" by 17 high.
Amazing! The bark alignment indicates carving on this and the other piece. Both beautiful, but with a small dose of WHY?

Joe...Yes they are carved...the lathe only removed a small amount of material (relatively speaking). But I assume that your question of "Why" means "why make such a thing?" Every other vessel that I've made is round...it seemed to me that not all bowls have to be round and symetrical. Other shapes and forms are possible. I guess this warped bowl is the product of a warped mind.

I'm impressed both by the amount of work it must have taken to make this, and by the end result. Excellent work.
