This is a piece of ash that had gotten rather punky(sp). The red hart shape was a worm hole. I colored the hole with felt tip marker and filled with clear epoxy. I thinned the extra epoxy with acetone and coated the inside of the box and the lid. I am always looking for a water proof finish. This may be it. The lid is a piece of Corian.
