Detail of the sandcarved band
@Gerald Lawrence
In the 90's I got to visit the Hurd museum and became fascinated with the shapes of the Anisazi pottery. I started doing what I called Southwest style hollow forms using natural edge openings.
Woodturning freind gave me books on southwestern pottery

Over the years we have visited New Mexico and Arizona a few times. A long list of sites yet to see in the southwest.
