This is my first post on the AAW website. I post regularly on WOW and I thought I would share my work here too.
This wood came from a tree that was cut down in a friends yard and saved for me. At first, I thought it might have been a Butternut tree due to the large amount of sapwood in the base.
I found one remaining set of leaves with smooth margins that proved it is indeed English walnut.
I plan to turn a smaller version of this piece as a thank you gift for my friends.
