First Attempt

Big Leaf Maple hollow form sitting atop an Ebony pedestal and below an Ebony finial with threaded and hidden Ebony Box. I hope he's not offended, but I saw some of Alan Carters work and attempted to make something similar.
Great job for a first effort. No offense taken. We all learn from others. There are so many great turners out there and I really appreciate your looking my way for inspiration.
