First Successful Goblet

This goblet(?) was turned from dunno wood which I had saved from a tree which was fouling the shed and the fenceline. It measures about 5.5" tall and 2.25" in diameter. Finished with Minwax sanding sealer and one coat of Minwax poly.
Nice "first" result. They don't always make it through the dry process, as you might have discovered. Still fun to make, even if they pop later. I did a gob of maple this morning. Taking bets at the $2 window on survival. I'll put up a quick set on it.
