Can we have more details about this? My wild guess is that it looks like part of a Newtonian reflector that holds the angled mirror that reflects the light to the eyepiece.
 
That's exactly what it is. It's called a "curved vane spider". This is based on a "hardware store parts" design by a maker named Berislav Bracun.
