"Gilt Trip"

A camphor burl vase finished with multiple coats of Tung oil, buffed and polished. The detailed opening rim has been gilded with 23K gold.
320mm x 100mm (12-1/2" x 4").
I'm going back to Ron Gerton's place and see if I can trip over another gorgeous hunk of wood!
