A collaboration between Steve Sinner and myself. Classic Sinner hollow form in hard maple. I did the surface embellishment. This was created for the AAW's EOG Online Auction, which will go live on May 26, 2017. 9.5" tall 6" at the widest part.

Very nice....

I hope it's not out of line to ask how you did this. I can visualize masking off each area and air brushing, but maybe you have a different method.

Doug, that's exactly how I did it. First the outline, then textured the interior, masked off the entire vessel using frisket, and then carefully cut away the frisket where the pattern was underneath. Final step laying down the color with the airbrush.
