Locust Burl

This locust burl bowl was turned very thin, which I think enhances the unusual colors around the rim. Small worm holes give it a lacey look. Diameter is about 7 inches.
Wonderful choice for this beautiful chunk of wood Wally. Was surprised to see this was yours! Don't think I've seen an open form of yours since I began turning. It is just as nice as I would have expected.

Wally, an open form? It's as beautiful as any of your hollow forms. The thinness of this piece is incredible. I haven't seen many natural edged pieces turned this thin. It must be as light as a feather. Fabulous. Thanks for sharing!
