Maple Bowl-In-Bowl

Simple maple bowl-in-bowl design made from timber harvested from Hurricane Isabel (Sept-2003). A burned groove under the lip of the inner bowl was employed to accentuate the illusion of two bowls. Bowl was finished using 3 coats of Waterlox with a 4th coat of Waterlox thinned ~50% with mineral spirits. Piece was then power-buffed and protected with a coat of clear Arborwax. Catalog #84; Width: 9 1/2" dia. Height: 4 3/8" Base: 1 1/2" dia.
