Maple Bowl-In-Bowl

Simple maple bowl-in-bowl design made from timber harvested from Hurricane Isabel (Sept-2003). A burned groove under the lip of the inner bowl was employed to accentuate the illusion of two bowls. Bowl was finished using 3 coats of Waterlox with a 4th coat of Waterlox thinned ~50% with mineral spirits. Piece was then power-buffed and protected with a coat of clear Arborwax.
