Mesquite Twist Top 2a

Here's a better view of the top of the twisted mesquite turning shown earlier. This gives you a better view of the interesting geometries that occur with the intersection of two twisted sections as well as a view of the carved 'petals' formed at the opening of the vase

I like working with "twisted" creations also and this I like, Brian! Surely it was a challenge.

Thanks Martin - the real challenge was getting the upper twist to be balanced on all three sides so that the intersection with the lower twist was consistent. As to the carved 'petals', I just work with the wood to make it fit the grain and the overall shape of the twist. I use the microplane tools to do most of the shaping.
