Poplar Bowl

Poplar Bowl

Bowl is approx 5"H X 6" W. Turned wet and microwave dried then finish turned. Poly finish.
Very nice, Larry. How do you keep the pith, which runs through the center of each side, from splitting in time? This has been a problem for me. Thanks,
Dale

Hi Dale
Thanks for the comment. I microwaved for a couple days in 1 minute cycles. Allowing the piece to cool between sessions. Been about 2 months since finishing with no change in appearance.
