Sandy Gum Bowl

Sandy Gum Bowl

This was a strange bowl. After I rough turned it, the outside had an awful lot of small cracks and the inside had almost none. They were all filled with CA glue, but after final turning the outside cracks still showed and looked terrible. Had to cover them somehow. Came up with this spray paint that looks like stone (Lowes). Hid everything and gave it a nice texture. What do you think?
It's 12" across and 5-1/2" deep. Finished with with Tung oil and Renaissance wax.
All comments welcome and thanks for looking, Don L.
Don thats a very nice looking bowl. Too bad about the cracks that gum looks fantastic. Funny I was doing a cherry hollow form that I could not get rid of a band about 3/8 wide. It drove me crazy, so I bought that same paint and was going to paint the whole thing but I shattered it so that was the end of that. Anyway well done.

Thanks thanks for the comments Lou and Odie!
I should mention that this was sprayed on raw wood starting right under the bowls outside lip.
Thanks again, Don L.
