maple and mahogany, about 10" in diameter. Finished with 3 coats of mylands cellulose sanding sealer and buffed on wheels.
I like the 2 pieces you have done like this Mike. There was another platter you posted where it was fully segmented. It was obviously a lot more work to do the fully segmented piece, and I agree with your comment on the other one...it makes me dizzy too. This platter looks finely crafted and has just enough pattern to strike up a conversation. I really like it.
