Soylent Green

Soylent Green

Box Elder dyed burl with Ebony rim. Buffed lacquer and wax finish. About 8" dia. by 6" high.
I like the subtle shading and the nice dye job on this piece DMeister. And the form complements the top of the vase too.

doug, i like this piece a lot.

when you say "dyes", are you dying certain areas of the wood with different colors .... and/or are you layering the colors ...

thanks for posting ... any more???

I used several methods: doing certain areas, layering colours, and air brushing. NOTE: all colours were applied wet so that they would bleed together.

Beautyful. Just beautyful...Is Soylent Green the name the name of the piece, the colour, or remembrance of the movie of that name.
