"Sphericitea #2"

A teapot turned from mahogany using only perfect spheres and perfect circles. A small piece of Desert Ironwood burl forms the collar for the lid. The mahogany has a nice open grain that works well with liming wax so I first dyed the piece for maximum contrast. 140mmH x 153mm x 90mm (5-1/2" x 6" x 3-1/2")
Entered and rejected in the POP Spheres competition.
