End-grain box with snap-fit lid. Made from Black Walnut with Black Ash Burl accents. 4.5" high X 3.5" diameter.

Clearly a classic piece with wonderful European flare. Nice goin' Mark.
 
Mark, I like this piece better than the one you had included in the Turned for Use exhibit. The black ash burl adds a lot!

Wow, thank you to everyone for the kind remarks! I'm glad you all like it. This is a shape that I have been doing variations on for a little while. You can see how this piece has progressed from the Turned For Use II piece as Kurt has mentioned above. The catalog for that show is available as a pdf. It is located here:

The box pictured above, as well as another box that I will be posting later in the week, were both made about 3 - 2 weeks prior to the Richmond symposium. They were made specifically for the Boxes S.I.N.
