This is the second and final one in the 6 point ornament series. Body is Spalted Maple and finials are genuine Honduras Rosewood. Finished with gloss lacquer. This ornament is probably the last one for the 2022 Holiday Season. I had a blast trying new ornament designs this year!
This basket illusion is in a spiral pattern. Wood is Maple and African Blackwood. Globe is hollowed, beaded, burned, and colored with India ink. Approx. 6 inches tall.
Many more ornaments will be coming as the holiday season approaches!
I've read or heard that there is a particular acceptable weight for a Christmas ornament but I don't know where to find it again and am not sure what it is. Seems to me that it was around 5oz or so. Can someone confirm that or point me in the right direction? Thank you. Mel
