Hello all,
the AWGB International Woodturning Seminar is about to take place in Loughborough UK. The list of presenters is, as usual, great and something we're all looking forward to.
This year, however, we are doing something that has never been done before; we are running the World's first ever Live Online Auction of International Woodturning.
The auction is in effect a charity auction, and will raise funds for the AWGB's Young Turners Program, which teaches young people the craft in the hope that they will go on and develop their interest in our craft/art from a safe and secure foundation.
The auction is of work by some of the AWGB's past presenters, and includes a notable number of US turners amongst the total...
David Ellsworth, Binh Pho, John Jordan, and many more have all donated a minimum of 45% of the sale price to the Young Turners. I think this is fantastic, generous, and worthy of a huge pat on the back from turners everywhere. So thank you to all of them.
