The Greater Ozarks Woodturning Symposium
September 25 - 26 (Saturday - Sunday), 2004
Featuring: Tom Crabb
Day 1: "Turning on the Bias" September 25, Saturday, 9am - 5pm with a lunch break.
You've seen those incredible 3-cornered (tri-cornered) bowls and bizarre shapes before in the galleries or maybe even demonstrated by a club member. Well, you can see who started it all (and probably taught most of them) live and in person!
Day 2: "Multi-Axis Hollowforms" September 26, Sunday, Noon - 5pm
Simply amazing hollowforms that are turned on the bias. Not only that, but see how Tom makes these things with 2 (yes, TWO) necks!!! Incredible.
Both days are lecture/demonstrations. Hands-on classes are not available in this Symposium. But where else can you see how it's done and ask questions from the woodturner who started it all in such a comfortable and cozy environment but the Ozarks? There will be local and regional woodturners there demonstrating and showing their work as well.
Price: $25 per day
Location: 1284 Ashley Dr., Nixa, MO 65714
(South of Springfield, MO just 5 minutes or north of Branson, MO just 30 minutes)
