@Roger Chandler posted in Sawmill Creek earlier this afternoon "It was reported over on WOW that Alan Batty has passed quietly in his sleep last night." Though I only knew him from YouTube, it was easy to see that he was a wonderful teacher and exceptional turner. I will always be thankful that I stumbled on his videos. Color me sad.
