This system is new to me and I wonder about the two round posts that mount in the arms. One fits the ball on the multi-grind jig and the other is used for the spindle roughing gouge and skew. What I don't understand is both can be locked into the arm at different heights. This may be useful and I don't understand why or is this something that makes manufacturing easier?
By not putting the post back the same heigth each time you will change the geometry and not be able to repeat a grind. Anyone else wonder why there is such a learning curve with McNaughtons stuff?
