Cherry plate with inlay of copper (torched to create colors) . Inlay covered with Amazing Clearcast. Approximately 8 inch diameter, Finish is Watco . Copper was cut to near size before torching and sized to fit slot.
Dyed rim maple platter 10" diameter. Chestnut dyes and lacquer finish. Rim has embedded copper braid partially turned away to create the pattern. Alternate view to more clearly show the copper braid detail.

This is a collaborative effort with Griffe Griffiths, a local metal master craftsman. Another piece for the upcoming show. Griffe found this particularly difficult to shape because my bowl, being green turned, is oval.
