This is a very interesting burl, soft and fragile due to the resin inclusions. Oilded and buffed stands around 10" with Gidgee collar.

This piece of red eucalyptus can't decide if it's a bowl or a vase, but it's about 7" wide by 5 1/2" tall. The walls are about 3/16" thick (tapering to a rounded bottom on the inside). I burned the rim just to highlight the thinness of the rim.
Antique Oil and spray lacquer...
My most recent series of flower goblets. From left to right the flowers are tan oak, eucalyptus, apple. The stems were turned and carved from bay. Dye and acrylic paints used for the finishes.
Let me know what you think.
Roughly 2.75"x9.5" ea
Blue = eucalyptus & bay, pink = eucalyptus & buckeye, orange = locust & pear
Just fun variations on my flower goblet idea.
