motor model number, Oneway 1224

To the 1224 owners out there: Could I beg a moment of someone's time to check the data plate on the 1hp Marathon motor on your lathe and let me know the model number? (If the plate is even visible as mounted.)

Also, does the motor mount into the lathe on a motor baseplate (bottom of the motor), or does it mount at the shaft end of the motor.

I just ordered this lathe yesterday and I am fully certain the motor will serve me just fine, but I'd like to explore that model family from Marathon, just in case I ever get the urge for another half pony. (Yes, skill, finesse and sharp tools are the best answer.)

Steve - Did not see a motor tag and could not feel one on the back side. Here is a pic of the mount.

Just FYI, if you decide to upgrade the motor, you'll also need to upgrade the VFD.

I had a follow-up call to Oneway today to confirm my lathe purchase and I asked about the motor package. Brent, they confirmed your message of the motor and drive being a matched/calibrated package. I have no doubts that the 1hp will serve me well. It will sit next to my 1.5hp Vicmarc VL200 shortbed, heavier work will be done there.
