Hello my name is Jeannie. I’ve been turning for a few years now. My interest started with embellishing the bowls my father would turn. I am now a member of Chesapeake Woodturners along with my father. Although I don’t turn often I do go to various events with the group. Sometimes I don’t get much demo time so I decided last year I was going to paint my lathe girly pink or something of that sort so this year at our annual event I could turn as much as I wanted. So I painted my lathe with lots of flowers. Another women turner came. So we had a her side his side to the event. I even had my 12 yr old granddaughter turning. The only unfortunate issue I had was my lathe motor went up 5 minutes into the demo. Luckily the guys had one more lathe for us ladies to use. My lathe is in the shop getting looked at. Looks like I may need a new motor. Looking forward to getting back on my freshly decorative painted lathe soon.

I half way considered doing some art work on my lathes, huge Studio Ghibli fan (My Neighbor Totoro), but the paint work would be covered with dust and every thing else within a week.... Yours does look nice...
