My selection for turning of the week for December 25, 2023 is “Cherry Burl Ornament” by James Seyfried. This is an elegant ornament that can hold a place of honor on any tree or grace a mantle year round. The globe and finials are expertly turned with appealing proportions. James describes the globe as Cherry burl dyed red, the finial/icicle and top as ebony, and the finish as spray can lacquer.

When I saw this ornament by James I put it in the list to consider.

Then James shared Cherry Burl and followed with Mellow Yellow

and Mini Ornament

Difficult choice. Four great ornaments with nearly identical finials and globes.
I chose Cherry Burl because I liked the finial and globe the best. The finial appears just a bit narrower and globe stands out a bit more.
But the Mellow yellow finial is super sweet too. @James Seyfried - thank you for sharing the marvelous ornaments.

Merry Christmas and happy holiday everyone.
