I made this mushroom box this morning. Lid and box are hollwed out. Lid was bleached to give some contrast. edges were textured with Dremel and Dremel engraver. Underside of lid was woodburned.

I like the texturing, and the crinkly rim. I think the piercing goes a bit over the top though, especially in the second photo. The burning/carving on the underside is really good - very restrained use of the torch there, and would be quite enough by itself.
