NOt an excuse Ed, just fact. I doubt we have 126 adults in my community of age to partake in woodturning as a hobby/interest. Why don't you come up here and see what I'm talking about. I'd enjoy your company.

I'm not sure I see how the school woodshop has any bearing on the potential for a woodturning club. I'd guess the average age at my club to be well over 50 years old. I think most of the guys are probably out of school by now. ;) You may not be able to find 126 interested turners in your community, but there still might be enough for a club.

I've been there Ed, its a great club. They meet during the week and its impossible to attend and still do the work thing. I will be retiring next July, maybe that will work out.
