1690 Maple Burl

Completed 3/4/2021....Maple burl bowl....12.5 oz....7 3/4" x 3 1/16"....Initial MC was 14% and after roughing, took 5 months to stabilize. The roughed bowl lost 0.2 oz during that time. Has difficult undercut rim. (This might get a little easier for me, if I had a rotating headstock!) -----odie-----
Hi Odie, I really like your new design and the Maple burl is beautiful. The finish is outstanding! Great job indeed!

Wow, that is a stunning piece of timber, your stepped treatment of the rim sets it apart, fabulous work odie

Odie........if you ever use a rotating headstock you will never look back (For us old guys) :D

Yeah, probably so, Lamar :) I'm keeping a lookout for the lathes currently available, and I just may get one of them one of these days! If the perfect one shows up, I'll buy it instantly, but so far that's a no-go!
